Steven has dated many women and is a carrier of this STD. I do not know when he became infected, but he passed the virus to me in October 2008. He was my exclusive partner, and my doctor confirmed I recd the virus from him at that time, due to my symptoms and severe illness. When I discussed this with him, Steven reported he had not had symptoms and didn't know he carries herpes, and also did not believe my doctor. I repeatedly asked him to get medical confirmation of his status. Steven finally got tested in June 2009 and he tested positive for the antibiodies at that time, but continues to question whether or not he actually has the virus. For all of these reasons, I suspect he will continue to not disclose his status to future partners.
