Self proclaimed bearded lady Conchita Wurst is really a man with HIV named Thomas Neuwirth. Neuwirth decided to announce his HIV status in 2018 after he said that a former boyfriend had been trying to blackmail him with threats to disclose his HIV status. Neuwirth responded by posting something on his conchitawurst Instagram account in Austrian that reportedly included a confession to having HIV along with frustration directed at the ex-boyfriend.
