Convicted Sex Offender Matthew Marshal Powills of Coralville, Iowa was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a number of charges including criminal HIV transmission and sex abuse for molesting his stepdaughter. Police say that he had been HIV positive since 1996 or earlier. They also seized over a hundred compact discs from his place some of which contained child pornography and were turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The FBI came back with a warrant and seized Powills's computers. They found over a thousand pornographic images and videos of pre-teenage girls some of which involved sexual acts including child rape, incest, group sex, urination, and bestiality. Matthew Marshal Powills is Iowa inmate number 1122909 and is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2026. #matthewpowills #hivandaids #coralville #iowa
