Diamanda Galas is a Hepatitis C sufferer best known for the dark and gloomy music she creates as both a pianist and singer. Galas states on her website that she contracted Hepatitis C form sharing needles, but it doesn't say when. Judging by the timeline of the article on her website it looks like she probably got it sometime during the 1980s. She also has a tattoo that says "We are all HIV+" even though she does not really have HIV. She got the tattoo shortly before her brother died of AIDS as some kind of protest symbol against the treatment of people with AIDS in those days. #diamandagalas #hepatitisc #newyork #newyork
