Thomas Muchimba Buttenschon is a Danish musician that was born with HIV in Zambia sometime during 1985. Both of his parents were HIV positive and he lost both of them to AIDS in 1994. Buttenschon has been combining his HIV status with his music career to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS related issues. At one point he even held a concert in Zambia where anyone that got tested for HIV could get a free ticket. He also founded the Muchimba Music Foundation that raises funds for HIV awareness, prevention, and treatment. In 2019 he starred in a documentary film called "Doin' My Drugs." The film was about one of the last things one might expect when they hear of a movie by that title about a musician. The drugs he was doing were his HIV treatment drugs. The film was made by director Tyler Rosen while he followed Buttenschon around for a year filming his fight against HIV. #thomasbuttenschon #hivandaids #copenhagen #hovedstaden
