Vernon Maxwell was sued in 1998 by a woman claiming that he gave her genital herpes. There is not much information available about this online. What is available indicates that the proceedings were halted at one point after Maxwell filed for bankruptcy. According to one source he also did not show up for court in the herpes lawsuit.
